The idea of ph fashion is as complex as Einstein theory of relativity. Taking the University (Youth) Fashion into consideration, it is Wow wow wow. No one can fault University of Port Harcourt fashion for not putting any effort.
This group reminds me of Jersey fashion (without the massive hair). It's all
about the long weaves, bright colours, sky high heels, alot of accessories and
pouty lips, all in one beautiful package. The uni fashion is more 'out there',
more playful with almost all combinations accepted.
All types of shoes and heels are worn, clunky & chunky heels, colourful
heels, wedges, pencil heels etc. The higher the better.
Accessories can range from eally large earrings to massive neckpieces and
statement-making brooches. Their accessories are usually pronounced and
fashion-forward.
The past year has been the year of colours:The 'colour blocking' year. although
colours are bit tamer and less intrusive this season, the memo hasn't properly
gotten to this group. Their colours are wild and bright, but not
unpleasant.
In major events like weddings, fashion shows and concerts, they come out
in all their glory, looking hot in mostly short and well planned out costumes
that give the ph fashion scene a wilder presence in the fashion world.
This group is the fun and funky fashion category in ph. They don't
necessarily care about the labels and designers, but try to 'own' and pimp up
all looks with their accessories, shoes and flambouyant hair. They are one of the
reason ph fashion can never be described as boring.
